Dragon Fighters of Ladder Six (Walking Tour)
The “Dragon Fighters” is the nickname given to the NYC firehouse located in Chinatown. This tour is a celebration honoring their heroism and the survivors of “Stairwell B” during the attacks of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
Follow the path taken by these first responders and learn how they withstood the collapse of a 110-story tower, while still inside it. By using historical photos of September 11th, we will chronicle the events of that day. Be astonished by the bravery of New York City’s firefighters, which includes the legendary “Dragon Fighters of Ladder Six.” Discover how the “Angel of Stairwell B” helped save a team of firefighters and miracle of the “911 surfer”, who rode down with 88 stories of imploding debris.
This tour concludes at the Memorial Plaza, where you will learn how the new World Trade Center was designed and constructed. You will be inspired by the cathedral arches of a $4 billion transit hub known as the “Oculus.” In addition, we will divulge where the secret underground vault containing $200 million of gold and silver was buried due to the collapse of the towers.
Revolution Walk (Walking Tour)
This is our annual walking tour of Manhattan island. It’s the quintessential walking tour of New York. It’s a 32-mile (51.5km) trek from the most southern tip of Manhattan to its northern tip. Starting under the Brooklyn Bridge, the tour loops around the most southern tip of Manhattan at Battery Park. There we’ll stroll up the west side following the Hudson River. This portion of the tour walks pass West Village, the Meatpacking District, Chelsea, Hell’s Kitchen, Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Cloisters.
Once we reach northern Manhattan, the tour turns back south and heads toward downtown. We’ll stroll through Morningside Heights, Central Park, Times Square, Midtown Manhattan, Flatiron District, Union Square, East Village, SoHo, and Chinatown. In downtown, your tour continues on a visit to Wall Street and its historic financial district. The tour concludes at Battery Park where iconic views of the Statue of Liberty can be taken in.
