From the sounds of sixties, nothing reflected harmonized vocals more than Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The generation of pining teenagers that once were immersed in "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Sherry", "My Eyes Adored You", "Rag Doll", and many other hits of this band can now bop to their rapturous music again. Along with a legion of new fans, Jersey Boys the musical is packing them in nightly.
This musical play chronicles the history of the band and their hits. It draws on very touching recollections from each band member. Weaving in their hits throughout, the audience has a backstage pass to the groups founding and personal triumphs and tragedies.
In 1990, the Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was the last time the original band members would be on stage together. Nick Massi would succumb to cancer on Christmas Eve in 2000. The recipient of multiple Tony Awards including for the Best Musical, Jersey Boys makes an extremely uplifting and entertaining night out on the town.
